Happy New Year

Happy New Year and thank you for all your support as we enter our 11th year of practice in downtown Montavilla. Keep a look out as 2018 unfolds. Changes are afoot!

Happy New Year and this year’s cold/flu season

Happy New Year and thanks to all for your support of Montavilla Community Acupuncture as we enter our 11th year in downtown Montavilla. With cold and flu season upon us, I like to remind patients of the potency of Chinese Medicine – including acupuncture, Chinese herbs and other modalities like cupping therapy – in addressing colds and flus. Also, my rule of thumb in terms of getting acupuncture when you feel under the weather: if you feel well enough to leave your house, and don’t have a fever or cough that prevent you from resting comfortably, than acupuncture can often help resolve the symptoms of colds and flus. Feel free to ask us about how we can help or come on in. Finally, universal precautions are a must year-round!  Take care and may 2018 be a great year for you!

No community acupuncture on 9/30/17

Julie will be out of the office this Saturday, Sept 30th, so there will be no community acupuncture from 10-2pm. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Happy July 4th! (and no 4-7 pm community acu on the 4th)

Happy and safe July 4th. We will be open during the day, with 10-noon community acupuncture with Mia as scheduled, but Julie’s 4-7 pm shift is cancelled. Hope you have a great day celebrating the Independence!

Community Acupuncture hours update

We are going to stop having community acupuncture hours on Mondays for the time being. Stay tuned for additions and updates! Thank you for your support and please let us know if there are ways that we can improve our services or website.

Thanksgiving week 2016

This week, we will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Mia will not be at the clinic 11/21-26, but Julie is covering her community acupuncture hours on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday as well as her regular shifts on Tuesday and Saturday. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and please know that we are thankful for you.

Portlandia today, out of town next week

Sorry for the late notification that parking on SE Stark and some of the nearby side streets will be limited today because Portlandia is filming on the strip (at Bipartisan, Townshend Teas and Personal Beast to be exact). There will be parking in the lot behind the building as well as other side streets, so business will be as usual for the most part, just a bit less convenient!
That’s only for today, though.
Next week I will be out of town. Julie is covering most of my community acupuncture shifts. The only one she cannot cover is next Thursday, 8/18, from 4-7 pm.

Mia will be out of the office 4/22-29

Hi! I will be out of the office 4/22-29 (Friday – Friday). Julie’s schedule is unchanged, plus she will be covering my Wednesday shift from 10-2 on 4/27 and my Thursday shift from 4-7 pm on 4/28.

Thanks for your understanding!

Mia

Winter Holiday Hours

We will be closed for the winter holidays, December 24th – 27th, and from 2 pm on New Year’s Eve until we reopen on January 2nd, 2016. WE WILL BE OPEN for drop-in acupuncture with Julie on Dec 31st, New Year’s Eve. Happy New Year and thank you for all your support and trust in 2015! We look forward to being of service in 2016, too.

Next week is Thanksgiving!

Next week we celebrate Thanksgiving. There is much to be thankful for, including all the people who walk through the doors here at Montavilla Community Acupuncture. We hope you have a wonderful holiday, however you may spend it. We will be open next week 11/23 -11/25 and 11/28, with community acupuncture hours on Tuesday (10-noon, 4-7), Wednesday (10-2), and Saturday (10-2) as well as individual appointments available Monday – Wednesday and Saturday. Happy Holiday!
